Using the Stripe Billing Portal
Broker Buddha AI uses Stripe to process payments, so some billing tasks — like updating your card on file or downloading paid invoices — happen inside the Stripe Customer Portal rather than inside BB AI. The portal is launched directly from the Billing & Payment tab and opens a secure, Stripe-hosted page tied specifically to your account.

🔐 Who Can Use This
Only Account Owners and Billing Managers can open the Stripe Billing Portal. Standard Users won't see the Billing & Payment tab or the portal link.
🧭 Getting to the Stripe Billing Portal
- Click your avatar (top right) and choose Settings.
- Select the Billing & Payment tab.
- Scroll to the Stripe Customer Portal card (below Products and Licenses).
- Click Open Billing Portal.
The Stripe portal opens in a new window, pre-authenticated to your Broker Buddha AI subscription.

🧰 What You Can Do in the Portal
The card lists the four things you can accomplish in the Stripe Customer Portal:
✅ View Payment History
See every past charge on your subscription, including date, amount, and status (paid, failed, refunded, etc.).
✅ Manage Subscriptions
Review your active Stripe subscription details. Full subscription cancellation should be done from the Cancel Subscriptions section in BB AI (see Cancelling Your Subscription or Deleting Your Account) so BB AI and Stripe stay in sync.
✅ Update Payment Methods
Add, replace, or remove the credit card / payment method used to bill your account. This is the primary reason most agencies open the portal.
✅ Download Invoices
Download PDF copies of any past invoice — useful for bookkeeping, reimbursement, or sharing with your accounting team.

💡 If you're not sure where to do something, start in BB AI first. The Stripe portal is primarily for payment methods and invoice history.
💡 Best Practices
- 💳 Update cards before they expire — A failed charge can interrupt service. Open the portal and replace the card in advance if you know the current one is about to expire.
- 🧾 Download invoices regularly — Keep a local archive for your bookkeeping instead of relying solely on Stripe history.
- 🔗 Share invoice links carefully — Links and PDFs from Stripe contain billing details; treat them as sensitive.
- 🔁 Always cancel subscriptions from BB AI, not Stripe — Cancelling in BB AI makes sure both systems update together and your access window is correctly applied.
- 🔒 Use the portal from a trusted device — You're authenticated into your billing account; don't leave the window open on shared machines.
