Cancelling Your Subscription or Deleting Your Account
If you need to leave Broker Buddha AI, there are two separate steps: cancelling your subscriptions and (optionally) permanently deleting your account. These are different actions with different consequences — this article walks through both in the correct order.

🔐 Who Can Do This
Only Account Owners and Billing Managers can cancel subscriptions or delete the account. Standard Users won't see these sections.
🧭 Getting There
- Click your avatar (top right) and choose Settings.
- Select the Billing & Payment tab.
- Scroll to the bottom of the page — the Cancel Subscriptions and Delete My Account sections are at the very bottom.
Part 1 — Cancelling Your Subscriptions
What Cancellation Does
- All active subscriptions are cancelled.
- You retain full access to BB AI until the end of your current billing period — your data and workflows remain usable through that date.
- After the billing period ends, your account becomes inactive.
How to Cancel
- Scroll to the Cancel Subscriptions section.
- Review the on-screen message: "If you need to cancel your subscriptions, you can do so here. We're sorry to see you go. You will retain access until the end of your current billing period."
- Click the red Cancel All Subscriptions button.
- Confirm when prompted.

💡 Changed your mind? If you cancel but then decide to stay, contact Broker Buddha Support before your billing period ends and we can reactivate your subscriptions.
Part 2 — Deleting Your Account
⚠️ Before You Begin
You cannot delete your account while you have active subscriptions. The Delete My Account form will be blocked until all subscriptions are cancelled first.
"You cannot delete your account while you have active subscriptions. Please cancel all subscriptions first. After cancellation, your data will be automatically deleted 30 days after your subscription ends, or you can delete your account immediately using this form."
This means you have two paths after cancellation:
- Wait — your data is automatically deleted 30 days after your subscription period ends. No further action needed.
- Delete immediately — use the Delete My Account form to remove your data right away, before the 30-day window closes.
What Will Be Permanently Deleted
The following data is permanently removed and cannot be undone:
- All user accounts and profiles
- All contacts, insureds, and policies
- All documents and submissions
- All configuration and settings
- Billing history and payment information

How to Delete Your Account
- First, complete Part 1 above — cancel all subscriptions.
- Scroll to the Delete My Account section and click to expand the panel.
- Read the warning: "Deleting your account will permanently remove all your data and cannot be undone."

💡 Before You Go — Things Worth Doing First
- 📥 Download your invoices from the Stripe Billing Portal while your account is still active.
- 📄 Export any key documents or submissions you may need after leaving.
- 👥 Notify your team — all user accounts and profiles will be deleted.
- 🔌 Disconnect any integrations (AMS, Loss Run Pro, etc.) so third-party systems aren't left pointing at a deactivated account.
- 📧 Update receipt recipients if anyone outside your team will be confused by post-cancellation emails.
